This novel is bang up to date with happenings and emotions that are occurring all too often these days. Angie is a mother to three children, her whole life falls apart when her young son is found playing with a syringe belonging to her oldest son Liam, this triggers off a chain of events resulting in her husband's murder. She is left penniless and even though she has universal credit, she finds it increasingly difficult to make ends meet and put food on the table. Even after making savings everywhere she can think of, nothing seems to be able to prevent her being evicted from the family home which holds so many memories for them all. Very soon Angie realises that she is one of those people that she sees on TV programmes and feels sorry for. Her daughter Grace gets a phone message from a supposed friend of her late dad, but is it all as it seems? Will Angie be reunited with her son Liam and will she get her life back on track?
A very readable book that is full of situations that ask many people find themselves in these days, through no fault of their own. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and fans of Susan Lewis books will love it.
