I’ve read a couple of Susan Lewis’ previous books so was very pleased to get my hands on this one. The author does family dramas extremely well and this book is no exemption.
The characters were well rounded and, as the reader you aren’t left wondering why as you really do feel you know them. The story did drag a little and the book probably could have been a fair bit shorter and it was a bit depressing a read at times too, though I’m sure this sort of thing does happen and it will probably jump to mind when I read a new article in the future.
All in all it is a good and engaging read with deep characters which kept me guessing till the end.
