My first novel by Susan Lewis, I'm not sure if I'd look for anything of hers in the long run - I found this story absolutely miserable and dark. Yes, it's gritty and in keeping with the times these days but not one I'd recommend if I'm being entirely honest.

Unfortunately I could not get to grips with this story at all. For such a small town, Ketsley sure had alot of issues - gang/turf wars, drug issues, trafficking, homelessness - yes, I'm sure that there are places like this, but to me it felt like too much was going on within the story, that it took the focus away from the actual storyline.

Angie Watts' husband is brutally murdered, and she spirals into debt and despair. So when an old friend of her murdered husbands appears with a lifeline - is it too good to be true?
