When Angie's husband is killed by a gang her son is involved in, her whole world starts to unravel. Her husband is dead, her son is missing and she is now having to survive on a meagre single salary with a new, crooked landlord.

This is definitely one of those books you shouldnt judge by the cover and I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. I am not totally sure where the smashed plate you can see on the front comes from and the caption, 'How far would you go to keep your family safe?' Sounds pretty dramatic but I didn't feel that was the case when reading.

It reminded me a bit of a soap opera. I enjoyed it, but wished there had been a bit more going on.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy summer read.
