I have read and enjoyed many Susan Lewis books before, and so was excited to see she had a new one out.
This one is a family based tale, following Angie as she struggles to cope following the murder of her husband and the disappearance of her son. It also carries a very strong social message, about the problems of debt, and how quickly things can spiral out of control, due in the main to the introduction of universal credit.
However, despite this strong message the book does not feel preachy, and is up to her usual high standards in terms of plot, pace and character development.
If you have enjoyed Susan Lewis before I'm sure this will be no exception, and if you haven't, then I think this would be a fabulous one to start with.
