This is such a lovely book, which I found very thought provoking. It is full of great characters that the reader can really root for.

Angie Watts has a good life, she has a job she loves which is very rewarding her husband has a his own business and they live with their three children in a nice house on a lovely estate. One day everything changes, her husband is brutally murdered and her son who has become mixed up with a gang disappears. Angies' life slowly falls apart as she struggles to make ends meet and spirals into debt. Life seems to go from bad to worse and it is only a matter of time before she loses her home and it appears that her job is on shaky ground too.

This book covers a lot of today's society's issues and is very thought provoking, it also shows how easy it could be to go from having everything you need to having nothing through no fault of ones own. Although the novel is quite heartbreaking and emotional it also shows how strong family bonds can be. I really enjoyed reading it.
