This is the first of Susan Lewis's books that I have read and I think she is a very good writer. Her characters are really well developed and the storylines are well planned and thought out. However, this book just wasn't for me at this time. It follows the story of Angie, a mother of 3 who is going though a horrendous period in her life, battling money, housing and family woes. She is a really likeable character and I felt genuine sympathy for her and her plight. However, there is a lot of sadness throughout the book and I think it is perhaps not one for anyone feeling anxiety already at the state of the UK. I would definitely like to read more by Susan Lewis. She has an extensive back catalogue which I shall be investigating.
