This book was slim with only a few pages, easy language and consequently was a quick read, I did feel like the book would be more attractive to teenagers or young adults.
I did enjoy reading the novel, I suspect because I have lived most of my life in Africa and could identify with the history portrayed in the story and some of the circumstances of the young girls.
However, I am of the opinion that I did not really get to know the characters, that there could have been more background given and the context could have been described a little more in depth, the novel plumped out a bit.
As it was only a debut novel and I did enjoy the theme, I would consider reading something else by this author.
