This book follows the story of shamiso and her journey of moving from slough (England) to zimbarbwe following the death of her father in a car accident. However he was a journalist about to publish a story which would tell the truth about the ministers devious and selfish actions.
Shamiso stars a new school to school where she makes a friend who we later find out is fighting cancer for the second time. Shamiso is scared to get too close as she is still recovering from the pain of losing her father and doesn’t want to have to deal with the grief of losing a friend too. The truth eventually comes about the minister.
The book didn’t take me very long at all to read, the chapters are very short and the storyline is very straight forward. The ending I have to say isn’t great I expected so much more, to come from a story full of emotion to nothing. I’m pretty disappointed
