Hope to Die is as dark as they come. The Atmospheric setting of the Anglican Cathedral is a perfectly horrible location to carry out a gruesome murder. To top it off, it's the middle of a blizzard. One of Liverpool's most iconic landmarks becomes the starting point for a killing spree.

Jackson weaves a cracking tale with twists a plenty. The main character DS Nathan Cody leads the hunt to find this vicious killer before he strikes again.

Great characterisation and a flowing narrative carry you through this rip-roaring ride at lightening pace, whilst also filling in back story in the creepiest way possible.

Will Cody discover the identity of his tormentors? Will he catch the killer before he strikes again? And will he and Webley ever get it on?

If your a crime fan then this is as good as they come. A worthy follow up to A Tapping At My Door.
