This is the second Nathan Cody book and is a worthy successor. Cody is damaged after an attack on him and his partner by a gang who tortured him and killed his partner. He has partially recovered but still struggling.
Three unconnected religious women are murdered. Cody and his partner Megan Webley helped by IT genius Grace Meade have to find the killer.
The novel is well written and gripped. It does help to have read the first book but it is entirely possible to read it without.
I really enjoyed this book. The story kept me gripped and I really care about what happens to Nathan Cody. I had no idea who the killer is which is good as I Quite often guess a few pages in. David Jackson is an author to watch and I can't wait for the next book in the series.
