Firstly I loved that this book was set in Liverpool. As someone who was born in Wirral (across the water) it was exciting to read a book set near where I'm from, rather than America or London!
This was so gripping from chapter one. It was gritty and deep, and I left myself saying "just one more chapter" to my boyfriend when he wanted to turn the light off.
If you love crime novels like James Patterson or Tess Gerritsen, you'll definitely love this. You'll find yourself questioning each character but you won't guess "who dunnit"!
I'll definitely be reaching for another David Jackson book to see what else DS Nathan Cody gets up to in the future, as I really enjoyed his writing style and the characters.
