Oh my gosh. Where to begin?! This book was perfect for me, the cover...is shrouded in mystery and beauty of a built up city that can be mysterious and beautiful all at the same time. But what are the secrets it holds?
The story itself, I was gripped from the beginning and could not and would not put the book down. (Even to go to sleep)
On page 177 I am certain there is a typo, But I could be wrong, confirmation would be nice if anyone is certain?
"There will be probably be clowns involved."
It all started with a brutal and senseless murder, seemingly with no witnesses except for Trudy...the victims beloved dog.
Ds Nathan Cody is put on the case to get to the bottom of this so far confusing and horrifying murder.
Cody is only just coping with his workload due to a horrific ordeal to which he scarcely survived and his then wife was brutally murdered. (As you can imagine though the job is distracting it is hardly suitable)
Cody has help from his work team, in particular an old flame and colleague recently back at work after having gone through difficulties herself.
With a stressful case no closer to being cracked and old feelings added to this concoction, it makes for a very fragile, mysterious and gripping story that you will not want to tear your eyes from.
