Ah, what a scrumptious and delightful story of families relationships and societies, love and friendship!
Written in a beautiful and slightly old fashion language (according to the era our heroes and heroines lived in), full of wonderful details of street life, food and clothes used by Londoners about 90 years ago! I could bet I smelt hot pies off the pages, which made my dinners choice :-)
I also liked author’s great and vary choice of characters! There are children with uneasy upbringing due to their parents relationship complications; there are young and eager to the future characters. The leading role was given to kind and strong mid-30th young lady to support her family and friends. And there is loads of love indeed!
I’d like to thanks an author for my long sleepless and cosy evenings while reading this wonderful book! I will definitely search for more books written by Sheila Jeffries to take me to other journeys!
