Having read Adam Kay's This is Going to Hurt I thought at first that this was going to be funny, an attempt to try and be as good. Having read the blurb though it sounds like it's far from it, although Kay's book was very moving at times. It sounds fascinating and thoughtful. I've always been a strong believer in donating organs but thankfully never had to really think about the reality that it could be for some people. I can't imagine that I will read this without crying...but we need to be reminded of how lucky we are sometimes. And huge credit to those doctors who have worked in the field of organ donation and give people a second chance at life.
