I immediately loved the subject matter of this book. It gives a fascinating insight into the carefully avoided subject of transplant surgery. The first person narrative and slightly humorous tone makes this dense and difficult subject accessible. I also loved the history behind the book and how well structured it was with a clearly accessible timeline. The exploration of ethics and philosophy also add to the topic making it rich and intriguing. I’m so excited to read on!

I also love the simplicity of the cover it gives the title a chance to shine and the bold font is also eye catching. It hints at the fact that many people may consider surgery as quite clear cut, much like the cover, whereas on the inside that is not the case at all.
