This is not the kind of thing I normally read and I don't see myself being able to read the entire book, but I will say that it is very well-written and, if you like medical, autobiographical works, I'm sure it's incredible. The tone was unnervingly matter-of-fact in some parts, as well as being emotive in others, and I feel it provided the perfect balance between being emotional and informative. I feel that the balance between factual gore- which was obviously going to be present in the story- and other description was also well weighted, so that it is not unnecessarily detailed for those that are squeamish.
