I am a huge fan of medical non fiction. The cover of this appealed to me before anything else. The book centres around the world of transplants, and was really interesting and informative. I’m a complete stranger to that area of medicine, so I really enjoyed the real life cases that were explored throughout this book. It also gives a bit of history surrounding transplant and how far it’s come. This book is written for people who have no medical background, so it’s very easy to read. The author is very straightforward and doesn’t mince his words. He also covers questions that come up from the talk of transplants, so should an alcoholic receive a healthy liver. This book really opened my eyes to a subject that I hadn’t given much thought to before.
