This book was really interesting. It was part autobiographical and part the history of how transplantation became what it is today.
I really wanted to read this book as it had all the pull of the typical medical autobiographical books that are about at the minute and it was really interesting to read about how being a surgeon had impacted on the authors life. It was also fascinating how all of the transplants were carried out before and the science behind this. I think I may have a bit more of an intrest in this subject than others as I knew of someone who died and saved 7 people through the transplant of there organs. Its such an important subject to discuss. In places it was quite graphic which may put some people off however it fitted well with the book in my opinion.
