I really enjoyed this book (if enjoyed is the right word).. I felt it gave a real insight into the minds of surgeons in the present and past and how far medical advances have really come in just a short period of time. It felt important to have the patients stories / experiences included as it brings the topic of transplant to life. It is easy to debate ethics and who gets a transplant, when you don’t know or understand those people that are sat on a list waiting for that call.
The only thing I found difficult when reading this was the medical jargon, I work within healthcare so I am familiar with a lot of the terms but found myself sometimes skimming these sections. Minor downfall but that’s just my opinion.
Would recommend this book to others
