I don't really know what I was expecting from this book. I know I read the back cover but I thought trying something new might find me in a new world of book genre but alas I found myself on numerous occasions wanting to give up. I tried to persevere with stories of the surgeons and the operating theatres and the mindset they have but eventually I saw the light and handed the book to some one else to try. If you are expecting real life stories of how lives were lost and saved at the hands of one man and even maybe some witty anecdotes then you may be disappointed. Ok in some part this is true of the book but a good read I did not find. The person writing this book, for me, has managed to ffind a way of putting me to sleep at night without anesthetic. If you are going to try this book then I think you need a strong mind and willpower - good luck
