I was sadly disappointed with this book! Billed as appealing to readers of Adam Kay's best seller " This is Going To Hurt". I was expecting a book full of pathos of working in hospitals, but with much of the gallows humour doctors and nurses are famous for. I also found this book very dry and being of appeal only to a select few. It said in the introduction that it was not a history of the business of transplant medicine, but this is how it read to me! While appreciate that in transplant medicine someone has to die for these organs to be used, I thought there would be more of the human factor in the book. The book was well written and knowledgeable but sadly lacking in the human factor. Adam's book for me was the better book.
