I really enjoyed the first two, highly contrasting, chapters of this book. The cover is evocative of the Forest of Dean setting but doesn't give much away. Descriptions of the busy Christmas in the butcher's shop are particularly nicely observed. I look forward to finding out more about Jo and Tessa.
