After reading the excerpt for How to Belong, I am a little on the fence. The writing style is great and easy to follow, without being too basic. I felt that the characters could be connected to and that this would strengthen as the book progressed. However, I'm not sure if this book is for me. There was just something about it that I didn't feel I could connect to 100% and it didn't grab my attention as much as I would have liked, which is a shame. I do like the picture on the cover, although I'm not sure it really gives an idea of what the book is about.
