This first impression was well written and believable - I felt like I was there in the bustle of the butchers' shop with Jo, and at the stables with Tessa. I would happily read on and follow these two characters on their journeys. I quite like the cover, it is striking and a bit different although I'm not sure how it fits with the story yet.
