Read this after it was recommended to me but I honestly felt it was just a middle of the road story.
The premise sounded so good, quite mysterious really but I just don't think much happened overall.
Jo has a good career in London but is jaded and restless so moves back to the forest of Dean for a new direction and I suppose challenge by taking on her parents failing butchers shop.
Meanwhile she takes a room witj Tessa, a withdrawn, complex lady with paat troubles and baggage of her own.
They rub along quite well but both are seeking something else, acceptance and understanding and a way to change their lives for the better.
This was quite a slow burn story and it didn't really do all that much for me either.
I think readers might be a little frustrated by the slow pace and lack of exciting developments but its a good read for those who like a gentle paced tale.
