As women, we've all had these experiences of constantly worrying about keeping yourself safe out in public. This fact immediately makes this book relatable to a large amount of the population.

The main character Kitty reminds me of the main character from Sweet Pea. She's serious about her endeavours, she takes a stand and keeps you morally guessing about what is right and wrong as you see her reasons. But all the while, she can somehow make you laugh?! In a tale of gloom!

The supporting characters seem to have their own interesting traits and add to the plot of the Kitty adventures! I think it's a light hearted take on what is a serious everyday issue. And these things are important but also super heavy. So a novel with a character like Kitty raises awareness without making the reader feel like they have the weight of the world on their shoulders.
