a strange story but also very intriguing
personally I found that this book was slightly slow to begin with (which could be because I had expected something different) and had a slightly confusing plot at the beginning (eg her dad etc) however this was all fixed further on in the book.
after the initial slowness I really enjoyed the book it had a plot where you didn't really know what to expect (or who) and the plot twist amazing leaving me shocked and on the edge of my seat what would happen next.
I also enjoyed the different sub plots such as the romance aspect as instead of being a distraction from the story I felt that they added to the tension of the plot. however, I do have to say I did think it was quite unrealistic. although fictional books are not expected to be factual all of the evidence left behind and witnesses and 'escape plans' did lead me to believe that she would be caught and waiting for that moment to come. even though I guess you could count that as building tension I would have preferred a little more thought into kittys plans. overall a good read but personally not one to get you out of a reading slump.
