I was really excited to receive this book because I just loved the writing style from the extract. Katy Brent has done an amazing job at creating such an excellent protagonist, flaws and all, but with such a huge drive on making men pay for their actions. Until, it goes wrong…
I love Kitty. I love the use of the social media world to show just how fake it all can be. It’s all about the next like and actually how men can say and do whatever they want towards women. The whole book is about women getting or taking the power back.
It causes the reader to really think carefully about the rights and wrongs of this. Should someone be killed for raping women? It’s a morally charged novel which has been written so well that it falls perfectly within dark humour.
It’s a true test of what you see isn’t always what you get, that social media is a con really and poor behaviour does have consequences.
