So, first of, this is not an instruction manual or a murder for dummies how to. It's fiction, hilarious, dark, laugh out loud, oops I shouldn't be laughing at that but ...... fiction. Our protagonist is Kitty Collins, a social media influencer who tends to attract a lot of attention wherever she goes. Her voice is bold and blunt.
Kitty has a close group of friends and you get to know them well, especially the women. They all have interesting background stories, and I think most readers will be able to recognise the "types" of friend from their own young adult friendships.
The book does have some upsetting and dark parts which are quite upsetting and will be relatable to some people. If you're a woman who has ever put her keys between her fingers when walking alone you'll know what I mean. The book is very current and relatable, hopefully not too much though.
I do recommend it, not my usual genre, but I definitely enjoyed it.
