This book will be going into my top 10 reads of 2023 as I thought it was absolutely brilliant. Right from the first chapter I was hooked on this dark and funny story. Yes it is a dark read but at time an utterly hilarious read. So many times as I was reading it the tears of laughter were rolling down my face. The characters were all excellent and really well described by the author. To be honest I wasn’t sure I’d like this book at first i thought it may have been a bit off the wall for me. However as I was reading it as part of a Buddy read I decided I would give it a go. Well all I can say is I am so glad that I read it. You know sometimes when you start a book and after the first page you’re hooked, well that is what happened with me when I started reading this book. As soon as I finished I immediately went online to check more books by this author. I was completely surprised to see this is a debut book by Katy Brent. Wow what a debut. I will certainly be purchasing this authors next book,
