A killer debut novel from UK journalist Katy Brent.

I often joke that my mom reads so many “murder books” that my stepdad should be concerned that she’s doing research, so when I see a novel called How to Kill Men and get away with It I instantly know it will be a big hit amongst the target demographic.

Thankfully, it’s not a how-to guide and more of a dark comedy, with a social commentary on how it feels to be a woman in the Me Too world, often feeing unsafe and intimidated in everyday situations and taking back ownership and getting revenge on the men who have wronged her.

Highly entertaining and engaging, it was easy to finish this book very quickly, and it’s definitely one of those books you’ll end up passing on or recommending to your friends (a hike bookclub suggestion, if you’re part of a reading circle)

Looking forward to more from Katy Brent
