When I saw this book on here I thought YES this is right up my street. After loving Sweetpea and also How to kill your family I thought this kind of new age girl next door meets serial killer would be a total five star for me. Unfortunately I ended up DNF'ing this one because I just couldn't connect to the writing. I can't quite decide if the author was trying to be tongue in cheek and really simplistic about things, or if this book was just far too simplistic for me.
In fairness there were certain lines that did make me laugh but I didn't feel any connection to any of the characters, a phrase I hear a lot online is horrible people doing horrible things and yeah I can see that.
Maybe If I had carried on with this one it may have got better but life too short, too little time, too many books to read and so unfortunately this one is joining the unhaul pile straight away
