A modern page turner which brings together an assortment of contemporary paradoxes and real-world issues to the foreground. The story of Kitty Collins provides a tongue-in-cheek tale of one women’s quest to challenge violence towards women by whatever deadly means necessary. A world away from her main-stream life as a popular social media influencer, Kitty turns her rage against the perpetrators of violence against women to make the world a safer place.

A clever but easy to read book which would be a perfect book club read. The story highlights a range of discussion points associated with violence against women, revenge, justice, morality, modern culture, privilege, the influence of social media, substance abuse, relationships, mental health and veganism to name but a few. Kitty is a likeable and relatable character, like that friend who always takes things a little too far, but this time with serious consequences.

While written with humour the book should come with a trigger warning for some of the issues raised and may not be for everyone. The book is easy to digest but many of the themes that are mentioned are not. While reading I felt that the topics included and the murders themselves lacked a sense of conclusion and that there was a level of simplicity that undersold the complexity of the issues. But after completing the book I realised that by being humorous and almost flippant about the ramifications of the events, the book provides an accessible starting point to open up more in-depth dialogues about its contents and in doing so, prompts these important social issues to be discussed amongst a wider audience. For that, I think it is a very clever book indeed. i was excited while reading this book and am indeed very intrigued
