Having inhaled a steady diet of Agatha Christie and true crime since about the age of nine, I can confirm that the opening of this novel had me hooked at 'there's always a bloody dog walker around'! It's true, every time a body is found, we can thank (or in this case, blame?) those out walking their dogs. Maybe I should hold off on getting the puppy I so desperately want...

Late last year I read and loved Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi, an isolated island mystery, and since then have been looking for another crime thriller to continue the obsession, and from just this first look, I think 'How to Kill Your Best Friend' may be what I've been looking for!
