What a lovely cover really setting the scene for an ‘idyllic’ retreat .The first few pages are introducing us to the characters in the story — a group of long term friends and their partners/family gathering together because of a death. This beginning section does a good job at suggesting possible tensions within the group . The basic plot seems to be nothing new but I expect as the story unfolds there will be plenty of twists and turns along the way . A fairly promising start .
