Before last year, murder books weren’t my cup of tea. I had read the odd Agatha Christie but found myself struggling to sit through a murder novel as they didn’t interest me. Then lockdown happened and I started watching Death in Paradise. I loved the individual nature of each episode and trying to figure out who the killer was and usually always failing, which made it more intriguing. I then started devouring Agatha Christie novels again and more recent murder mystery novels like The Guest List and now its become my second favourite genre over lockdown. Seeing this book, I am already starting to wonder the deep secrets thats led to the murder as there is always something thats happened between friends or lovers or family to lead to such a case. The fact its set in a tropical location is even more intriguing as it reminds me of one of my new favourite shows and its makes me want to go on holiday myself, even with all the murder!
