I like the cover but it's the title that would attract my attention - not that I want to kill my best friend of course!
I also like the tag line - corny perhaps, but fitting.

I don't read sneak peeks because I don't want to spoil my reading pleasure but I'm hoping this is set in the author's childhood home, it would make the inclement weather very atmospheric.
