This book felt quite different to others I’ve read.
It’s told from the viewpoint of Georgie and Bronwyn in alternating chapters. They’re old friends, reunited at the memorial of their friend Lissa who drowned whilst swimming. The trio, we learn, have been friends since they met at college.
As the book progresses we get more of a glimpse into the characters pasts ans what’s happened in their lives. There’s doubt surrounding Lissa’s death, did an accomplished swimmer really drown or was it something darker? The guests of the memorial end up trapped on the island due to the inclement weather, they’re doubting each other and who to trust but soon they realise they have more to worry about.

I found it an interesting read but I felt the beginning was a little slow to get into. I wasn’t a huge fan of the characters but that didn’t stop me liking the plot
