This is a book about a trio of friends, but as with many friends of three - there's someone left on the outside; this is the case in 'How to Kill Your Best Friend' by Lexie Elliott. This book centers on the aftermath of the death of one of the trio and the narrative if told from two perspectives.
I've read the two previous book releases by Elliott: 'The Missing Years' (really enjoyed this one) and 'The French Girl' - also enjoyable. I did enjoy reading 'How to Kill Your Best Friend', although I preferred the previous two.
This is essentially a relationship mystery surrounding the death of Lissa, one of the trio. The mystery is concerning why she decided to take a night swim in known dangerous waters. The relationship mysteries and drama centres around those left behind, fueled by temper, alcohol and storms; the tension builds and twists are embedded well to build the pace.
A secluded setting, storms and secrets - this is a recommended read from me.
