Good read
This was my first read from Lexie Elliot and I was very pleasantly surprised.
I felt particularly engaged in the mystery and was constantly looking out for clues to justify my suspicions. My guesses went back and forth, however I will not give too much away in case you are planning to read!
A few positives I took note of were:
The atmosphere and paradise island setting were also great and well described. The pace was generally quite steady and engaging which is always a plus for books of this genre. Furthermore, on the topic of genre, another thing I really liked was the fusion between crime, action and thriller as well as some light comic relief along the way!
On the other hand, I was not too keen on the dual perspective- I found it was a little confusing and perhaps unnecessary at times (I have seen that a few other readers have also mentioned this).
However, a solid 4/5 read overall.
