Lissa, a well documented great swimmer is missing, presumed drowned.
This book started out really great, the opening chapter really leaves you wanting more and the additional input from this mysterious character is brilliant. Told from two main view points, it’s clear this friendship threesome have had their issues in the past and Lissa may not have been as stable as some think. Sometimes books written from different view points can be a little confusing but this really helped to build up the suspense in this case.
Back on Lissa and husband Jem’s island for a memorial service strange and creepy things start happening that leave the remaining pair questioning their trust in each other and Lissa.
It was quite a slow burn of a book but that really worked here. There were a few twists towards the end, not all were predictable and it’s been left open for a possible follow up from the last few pages! Would make a very good film.
