Honestly,
I thought I would enjoy this book but I found it to be a bit of a slow burner... it took a long time to get into and sometimes I found myself zoning out while reading it. The writing style was a bit simplistic and I just didn't find myself impressed.
I did feel like it was sometimes bordering a young adult book purely due to the writing style and the way it was delivered. The narrative was sometimes witty and quite clever but other than that it was a bit simplistic and I did expect more from it.
I have never heard of this author, but I wouldn't be inclined to read from her again.. don't think it was for me sadly and it's not her fault, I just like thrillers that grasp me from the onset. This took a long time for me to get into and I found myself putting off from reading it. The title is definitely eye catching but the book itself? not really. I sometimes also got confused between the narratives of the two main characters and would muddle them up because it wasn't clear? not sure.
Maybe it could have done with better editing during the editing process but yes simply wasn't for me sadly.
