I really enjoyed this one, I’d give it 4.5 stars, but have rounded up to 5 stars. It kept me gripped throughout, with me constantly guessing who was guilty – plus I love the little bits dotted throughout about methods to commit murder, it was a nice added touch.
I thought the characters were all well developed and I especially liked Georgie, however, I would have liked more about why the connection between Georgie and Lissa was so strong given their personalities. I loved the suspense that ran the entire time I was reading and felt the pace was good.
My only quibbles were that I felt there were a couple of bits left unfinished and I’d love to know more (no spoilers), and I was totally shocked by the actions and reasons why something happened (again can’t say without spoilers) – I didn’t see it coming and I’m not sure whether that was good or not.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book; suspenseful plot, great atmosphere, interesting characters, and a steady pace. I will be checking out other books by Lexie very soon.
