This book did not live up to my expectations. I have read both of Lexie Elliott’s previous books but found this one too slow and tedious and gave it up on page 106.
The blurb sounded promising, although the storyline is a little overused. Friends from a college swim team reunite at a luxury hotel on a tropical island twenty years after they left college. The story alternates between Georgie and Bronwyn as narrators. The third friend, Lissa, who owns the hotel with her husband, is missing presumed drowned. Bad weather is approaching and a mysterious serpent like presence has been sighted in the sea.
The book is divided into sections preceded by a page How to kill your best friend Method 1 Accident. Method 2 Poison etc which seemed to have little relevance to what followed. Perhaps it would have all become clear if I’d persisted? Life’s too short to spend it reading books which I’m not enjoying. Sorry.
