I was really excited to read after reading a small extract on readers first. Unfortunately when I began to read the whole book that excitement soon fizzled out!
For me personally thrillers need to have me gripped almost instantly and this one is a lot slower and I didn’t feel as though I was enjoying it as much as I did with the extract.
I just didn’t really feel connected to the characters or the plot and because the plot slowly develops, my mind wasn’t questioning what was going to happen next 😕
In summary, it’s not a bad book it’s just not a fast paced thriller which I love!
I would definitely recommend giving it a go though if you are more into slow paced thrillers as the premise and actual writing style was very good it just didn’t develop Quickly enough for me. I am very grateful for readers first and the author for gifting me a copy!
