That's a great cover - mysterious and slightly threatening. The setting of a women's refuge is one I've only come across once before in fiction and its description here fits seamlessly into the earlier one, assuring me of its truth. It's important to me that I warm to at least one of the characters in a story and I've liked every one of them up to now.
