I read the First Impression and I'm not hooked, and yet... I feel like it was just starting to get interesting. The book begins at a leisurely pace, introducing us to the main characters and their backstories, while hinting at a more difficult past for the narrator. It starts to get a bit creepy and compelling just before the end of the first impression when she receives proof that somebody is watching her, bringing a sense of foreboding to the novel. I'd be interested to continue and see what happens next.
