The first chapters of this psychological thriller burn slowly. It's central character Ria Taylor, works by empowering women survivors of domestic abuse. On the outside it appears that Ria's life is very much in control, however, in reality, she and her husband are very much struggling financially. So much so, he has gone abroad to work to raise some much needed cash. Ria is also estranged from her father who is extremely controlling and has disowned her since her marriage.

The thriller gains pace when Ria receives a telephone in the post at work. This shows a video of her walking home alone after work one evening. Although this is rather creepy, it barely effects Ria. She dismisses it as a probable message from a disgruntled partner of one of her clients. However, later that evening, Ria has almost forgotten about the telephone when it pings displaying the message-"I'M WATCHING YOU"- Ria appears startled at first but then shrugs it off and replies "NO SH#T SHERLOCK!!!"

The first impressions of the book are favourable and full of promise to be a good read. This is largely due to the freshness of tackling the emotive subject of domestic abuse. It is written with ease and I liked immediately Ria who is an unlikely heroine- I would like to find out Who is stalking Ria?? What consquences this has for her and her family????
