I found the opening chapters of this story immediately drew me into the violence of gang warfare on the streets of New York at the beginning of the nineteenth century - it sems that turf wars are nothing new! The relationship between Justy and Kerry sounds intriguing so I'm sure that will add a fascinating dimension to the story-telling.
